This monologue was originally written as a poem for an African American studies class. After performing it at Berea College it was requested several more times at different events.
I've now performed this monologue over 30 times at various locations, one which includes the well known...
"Root's and Heritage Festival".
This clip was created for the 48 hour Film Festival 2007! It was so much fun to work with all the ladies on this film, and after this, I ended up working with a few of them on other projects! Some of them I'm sure I'll see in Hollywood!
This is a demo reel from two different movies both by Jerry Williams of Goatboy Films. The first is "Queen of the Cursed World". I play professor Goldwater. Those had to be the hardest lines to memorize! Something about a 'warbird' and a 'citadel'.
The other is from "Soul Robbers". That has to be the cheesiest line I've ever said in a movie, but it's the cheesy ones that get remembered for the longest! For as long as I live (or at least for a while), people will proclaim, "Dead man, dead man, where for art thou cause of death". Mostly to make fun of me but they'll proclaim it!
